In coatings plants, fix the steam system first

Meter-level baselines at four coatings sites agreed on one thing: steam traps and heat integration carried more abatement per euro than any renewable contract on the table. The levers were unglamorous and paid back inside three years.

The trap is sequencing by announcement value. Reverse it: fix what the meter proves, then buy the press release.
